
Summary
Social Media Management & Content creation are two vital aspects of my role at the Career Center. Planning and creating content, then scheduling and providing real-time replies and documentation of events to bring life to the campaigns. Overall, I am a part of every step of the process with our social media material, which is both a challenging and exciting part of this role.
Highlights
Over my first 6 months in this role, I improved the Instagram engagement by 40%, compared to the previous year, reaching over 13,000 unique interactions.
I create 3-5 posts a week focusing on Multi graphic carousels and short-form video reels to align with the new Instagram algorithm recommendations.
Reels
Creating Reels is a growing aspect of this role, meaning I get to innovate and experiment with what works best for our demographics and our social media feed. Filming and editing content for video became a consistent part of my weekly media plan, broadening my experience and growing in this medium. Additionally, I had the opportunity to shadow higher-up marketing teams on campus while they planned and filmed content for longer-form video projects.
